Bakcou eBikes’ best-selling electric ATVs – such as the Mule and Storm – are built around the Bafang Ultra mid-drive engine. The Ultra engine is not only the most durable and powerful Bafang mid-drive engine, but it is also the only 1000 W mid-drive engine with a torque sensor.
The torque sensor of the Bafang Ultra gives a very natural riding feeling on an ebike. Without it, your motor gives you a predetermined amount of power when you press the pedals. This can be extremely dangerous when riding on technical terrain and even more so when riding on technical terrain downhill.
You must have full control of your ebike, otherwise you may end up on the ground. Like buying a car, the motor should be your main concern when buying an electric bicycle.
