Just recently, smart video doorbells have become more and more common. This is because they alert you when someone is at your front door, whether you are home or not. In most cases, you can talk to them through the doorbell; if a burglar rang the doorbell to check if you were home, your response would lead them to believe that you are home.

Motion sensors are effective tools in notifying you of movement on your property; if you are not expecting anyone, these will allow you to investigate what is happening on your premises.

These are fairly similar to motion sensors; however, they will instead notify you when your doors or windows are opened.

Security systems often involve the installation of cameras and alarms in and around your property. This allows you to seamlessly monitor the premises, whilst also making neighbors aware of any break-ins through the sounding of alarms.
8. Install Exterior Flood Lights
Motion sensor lights will illuminate your property whenever there is movement. This will enhance the visibility of your property and make it more difficult for an intruder to sneak around.
9. Add Alarm Signs
Any signs that indicate alarm systems or other forms of security will ward off intruders. For example, a “Beware of Dog” sign implies that the owners are armed and prepared to defend their property.
10. Make it Look Like Somebody is Present
If you are forced to be away from your property for a prolonged period of time, you may want to invest in some smart plugs. These can be controlled from your smartphone and will allow you to put your lights on timers in order to mimic the sensation of someone being present within the premises. Similarly, you might keep a car in your driveway.
11. Hire A Security Guard
A security officer is arguably the most secure form of premises protection. It is not likely that an intruder will bypass someone physically guarding the property, and if they do, the security officer is trained to retaliate. The use of a security officer allows for the most immediate response to a break-in.
