CNC Electronics West today announced the opening of its new location after several derailed cars collided with their old facility and caused severe structural damage to the building on July 1, 2019. The newly established branch at 1085 Bay Boulevard in Chula Vista presents an updated 2020 catalog that contains a familiar and reliable inventory, new prices, as well as the latest Fanuc parts and surplus spare parts

“We are delighted to announce the successful reopening of CNC Electronics West after the train collision which damaged our facility,” said a company spokesperson.

Although no injuries were reported at the time of the incident, the carrier train left massive cracks in the concrete walls of a single slab of the trade office, which made it structurally unhealthy. The derailed train also knocked over several trees which crashed into nine unoccupied cars parked outside the building.

Roads were closed and traffic redirected as city crews scrambled to clear debris from the surrounding area, spending a total of two days unloading dismantled cars and keeping pedestrian and private areas around the surrounding area safe.

Despite the difficult reconstruction and transportation of products to a new location, CNC West promises to maintain the quality of its services while restocking its stock with advanced equipment to meet the needs of old and new customers.
